The presidential majority is getting organized for the legislative elections on June 12 and 19.
En Marche, the Modem, and Horizons are planning to unite for the election in a confederation named “Ensemble” (Together). It will present a single candidate in each constituency. The nominations are expected to be finalized by Tuesday. LREM (La République En Marche) will change its name to “Renaissance.”
It will be led by Richard Ferrand, a close associate of Emmanuel Macron and the outgoing president of the National Assembly— a position he would like to retain— with two vice-presidents: François Bayrou and Edouard Philippe. Stanislas Guerini will be the secretary general.
“Ensemble” will present a single candidate per constituency. The allocation of nominations plans for 400 candidates for LREM, 58 for Horizons, and between 101 and 110 for the Modem.
