THE MAIDS by Jean Genet | Jacques Vincey

Tuesday, March 13 at 7:30 PM + meeting with the artistic team & Wednesday, March 14 at 7:30 PM + concert “IntimeS – Patrick Massabo sings Yves Giombini” at 9:15 PM

That night, in Madame’s room, Claire and Solange play a dangerous game that quickly turns into a farce. Both pathetic and grand characters, trapped in their own roles, they endlessly improvise on the same canvas until their act spirals out of control. Until death puts an end to their masquerade. Except the victim is not who we expected…

The Maids is a tale inspired by a news story, elevated to tragedy through theatrical writing, where the maids are monsters… And Jacques Vincey, as the grand orchestrator, has brought together three extraordinary actresses, three “sacred monsters” of the theater (Hélène Alexandridis, Marilu Marini, and Myrto Procopiou), who embody the jubilant extravagance that suits Jean Genet’s text so well. And we are delighted.

Concert “IntimeS” – Patrick Massabo sings Yves Giombini (French songs)

Infused with a “friends first” spirit, always nostalgic, full of mysteries, childhoods, and angels, the songs written by Yves Giombini have found their natural interpretation in the deep voice of Patrick Massabo. And the two partners are not new to this… So what a pleasure it is to reunite for the occasion of the Spring of Poets, Patrick Massabo, accompanied by Xavier Canonne, Thomas Hocquet, Béatrice Guiffray, and Jérôme Goudour, to offer us a tender moment of elegance and quirky humor!

TRES by Belén Maya

Friday, March 16 at 8:30 PM & Saturday, March 17 at 8:30 PM + Sevillian ball following the performance

Tres is a moment of grace and purity, where the essence of flamenco holds true to its roots and where art is about sharing between artists at their peak. Jesus Mendez, Rafael Rodriguez, Felipe Mato, and Belén Maya, united in the same fervor, glowing on stage with their unique presence. The daughter of two flamenco figures, Mario Maya and Carmen Mora, Belén Maya has also been trained in classical dance, jazz, and modern dance. Her Andalusian roots and her openness to the world are expressed in her art, at the crossroads of African dance and contemporary dance, in a flamenco that she revolutionizes. Yet purists do not run out of praise for her. Truly great flamenco!

DEBOUT by Nathalie Papin | Cie Arketal | Alexandra Tobelaim

Tuesday, March 20 at 7:30 PM + meeting with the artistic team

The Arketal company has the art and the manner of touching the hearts of children with its lifelike puppets, its fantastical universe, its stylized simplicity, its delicacy in interpretation that quickly makes the actor, manipulator, and strings fade away… So, to evoke beaten childhood without shocking young souls and to speak about death with the right words, Arketal borrows those of Nathalie Papin and entrusts the staging to Alexandra Tobelaim. The result is an intimate show to experience as a parenthesis, close to the thousand and one original puppets, whose appearance and disappearance create the illusion of an inner world. That of a little boy named Debout by the cemetery caretaker where he found refuge… The story might seem sad, but in his quest for the ideal mother, Debout will meet all the mothers of the world and find the light.
