Laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the new conservatory of music and dramatic arts in the presence of the departmental President Charles-Ange Ginรฉsy and the Mayor of the City Jean Leonetti, who expressed himself regarding this new facility: “In this neighborhood, we are creating a privileged and sustainable space with a theater, a conservatory, tennis courts, and a nautic stadium.”
The ambition of this project is clearly stated: “The Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts is in line with a large cultural territory and carries an artistic ambition.”
The cost of the operation is โฌ14,400,000 excluding VAT, with the cost of the works being โฌ12,643,397.44 excluding VAT.
The conservatory will consolidate the activities currently undertaken plus an auditorium with 300 seats.
This facility will host approximately 1,000 students for training in two areas of artistic education, which are:
โข Music, the main activity of the establishment, encompassing acoustic music in individual practices, amplified music and percussion, musical training, and ensemble practices;
โข Dramatic arts.
It will meet the needs for hosting, logistics, and teaching with the construction of:
โข 21 rooms for individual practice of acoustic music (645 mยฒ)
โข 6 rooms for amplified music and percussion (345 mยฒ)
โข 4 rooms for musical training (200 mยฒ)
โข 2 halls for large ensembles (355 mยฒ)
โข Premises for teaching dramatic arts (193 mยฒ)
โข An auditorium with a capacity of 300 seats (590 mยฒ)
