10 years, 10 km, 10th anniversary… quite a symbol…
10 years of performances, personal or collective challenges, conviviality, and happiness have gradually allowed this small event in Nice to establish itself as a must-attend race in the national calendar and proudly claim its second place in the ranking of the most efficient 10 km races in France.
10 years also of professionalism and passion, thanks to everyone’s efforts (organization, runners, spectators, volunteers, partners, institutions, and media), have enabled the event to become THE must-attend race at the beginning of the season, THE good start to the year, or THE sports challenge to take on alone or with others right after the holiday season. In a few words, THE race for everyone, now a CLASSIC, not to be missed every year under any circumstances.
But the Prom’Classic is also about a high-quality field of athletes who succeed each year in welcoming the best French runners of the moment with exceptional records to their credit (Saïd Tbibi with 28’38” for men or Christelle Daunay with 32’44” for women). Exceptional presences like Hicham El Guerrouj (middle-distance king) or Ladji Doucouré (World Champion in 110 m hurdles) who attended the 2008 edition.
Last year, the event set a new participation record. 5300 entrants gathered to run this early-year 10 km.
Sunday, January 10, 2010, both roads of the Promenade des Anglais will once again be the scene of new records!
