Ultimately, they chose Eléa to succeed Manon Tremoulet, Queen of May 2015, in order to represent Niçoise culture at heritage events in Nice and the surrounding areas.
Eléa, 15 years old, presented a sketch drawn from the chronicles of Francis Gag. In this task, she was accompanied by Marine and Marion, who were elected joint runners-up.
For the past two years, at the initiative of the association Nissart Per Tougiou, this Niçoise tradition (revived in 1906 by Menica Rondelly, author of the Niçoise anthem Nissa la Bella) has been modernized to showcase a facet of Niçoise culture that is young and dynamic, sincere and passionate, providing the lucky elect a genuine status for an entire year.
A successful second edition at the beginning of the May festival on the hill of Cimiez.
