To reach the Miss France competition in Paris, there is quite a journey to be made. Everything started in Nice, on June 6th at the Excedra Hotel. Out of all the candidates present, 12 were chosen to move on to the semi-final on July 18, 2009, at the Casino Ruhl. Aged between 17 and 24 years, the young women must do everything to charm the jury and stand out from the crowd. Assisted by Josiane Valette, the regional delegate of the Committee “Geneviève de Fontenay”, they will learn to walk with the grace, poise, and ease well-known among Miss France contestants. This training will enable them to maximize their chances in the swimsuit or evening gown parade.
The young lady who wins this round will have the opportunity to enter the “Miss Côte d’Azur 2009” competition on August 22nd at the Albert 1st garden. The winner of this stage will earn her ticket… to Nice. Indeed, on December 5th, she will represent the region during the “Miss France 2010” show on TF1.
