After the national congress of the Radical Movement / Social Liberal and the election of Laurent HENART as the national president of the movement, it was the turn of the radicals from the Alpes-Maritimes to appoint their governing body.
This has now been accomplished with the election of Hervรฉ Caรซl as president, who has formed his committee composed of Vice-President Chantal Maimon, Secretary Frรฉdรฉric Flayol, and Treasurer Bernard Demeer, along with the delegate for the Young Radicals, Maily Tancrez.
The new president, Hervรฉ Caรซl, outlined the roadmap for the party leadership, elected for the next three years:
– Continuing the development of the federation of the Radical Movement in the Alpes-Maritimes.
– Participating in the European elections campaign on May 26, 2019.
– Preparing for the upcoming local election deadlines. The Radical Movement / Social Liberal 06 reaffirms the independence of our political formation in view of the upcoming municipal, departmental, and regional elections.
Hervรฉ Caรซl did not shy away from addressing questions regarding his party’s positioning in upcoming electoral consultations:
For the European elections in May 2019: “Recalling the independence of our movement, we have decided, not to join a LREM list for the upcoming European elections, but rather to support the principle of participating in the ‘Renaissance’ list, a coalition of all pro-Europeans that transcends our national differences.”
For the municipal elections in March 2020: “The decision to present independent lists or participate in alliances, in Nice as well as in other cities of the Alpes-Maritimes, will be made based on the results of outgoing teams, projects, and the capacity to bring together skills and profiles that are representative and beneficial to local communities. The strength of convictions cannot be guided by the fickleness of polls.”
