8 days of a 100% female challenge without speed in the sands of the Moroccan desert, starting from the Prom’ yesterday afternoon in a holiday-like atmosphere.
More than 300 women, from 13 nationalities and 50 French departments, will gather on the French Riviera to kick off the 29th edition of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc.
Aged from 24 to 71 years old… doctors, employees, firefighters, teachers, postal workers, shopkeepers, or lawyers… they will be at the start of the event to take on the same challenge, to go all the way and become “Gazelle”.
Behind the wheel of 4x4s, trucks, crossovers, 100% electric cars, or at the handlebars of quads, they will explore for 8 days in the desert, covering more than 1,500 km between off-road tracks and dunes without GPS or mobile phones, but only with the help of a map and a compass.
