The recipients of the Brevet with “Very Good” distinction honored by the department.

Yesterday at CADAM (Administrative Center of the Alpes-Maritimes), the award ceremony was held for junior high school students who received the “very good” distinction in the 2019 Brevet, with the presence of Eric Ciotti, member of parliament, and many heads of institutions.

After the high school graduates the day before yesterday, it was the turn of the 2701 Brevet laureates with the “very good” distinction and their parents to be welcomed in the garden of the Administrative Center. “2701 laureates who have brilliantly passed the first real diploma of their lives,” emphasizes Eric Ciotti. Like the high school graduates from the day before yesterday, they represent excellence. Excellence that is rewarded for its merit, the one that allows overcoming all obstacles to reach the highest level. They have reached this level, but they must continue.

“Your abilities and your level will allow you to continue acquiring knowledge, to become even more mature, and to develop numerous skills in the quality high schools of our department and region,” emphasizes Eric Ciotti. This is why it is legitimate to reward these 2701 Brevet laureates with the “very good” distinction. Beyond the distinctions, the Académie de Nice has a very good pass rate for the exam (88.7% success rate, which is 21,003 candidates passed).

Most distinguished institutions:

  • Public junior high schools: Nikki de Saint-Phalle in Valbonne (118 “very good” distinctions) ahead of CIV Valbonne and Matisse Junior High.

-Private junior high schools: Stanislas in Cannes (76 “very good” distinctions), ahead of Stanislas Nice and Sainte Marie in Cannes.

Breath of fresh air

To unwind after this “difficult” year while keeping the taste for stimulating and educational moments, the Department offers each laureate a digital pass allowing access to numerous cultural, sports, and leisure activities. This pass, worth 160 euros, will allow the junior high students to choose according to their tastes and preferences (ski pass, match of a professional sports team, cinema ticket, mountain activities, discovery of regional parks, etc.). But this is not the most important thing. As Eric Ciotti says: “the most important thing is to see you all again at the same place, in three years, after the baccalaureate results.”
