For the 4th time, Nice hosted the Pull Rouge awards ceremony in the gardens of Villa Masséna, after two years without a Rouge Légende evening due to the pandemic.
“They represent the vitality of French skiing and today receive the famous ‘pull rouge’ that has distinguished our instructors since 1958,” stated the president of the association, Eric Breche.
“This is the recognition of a region and a city that play a significant role in the dynamics of French skiing,” echoed Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice.
“Receiving the ski instructor diploma is a guarantee of high competence and responsibility. Obtaining one’s medal is the culmination of demanding training: technical mastery of the activity, extensive knowledge of the mountains, and certain teaching skills,” declared Eric Breche before the awarding of the diplomas.
A special mention was awarded to the 10 top-ranked individuals who excelled in this 2021-2022 class, a class paying tribute to the late Dominique Galletti, himself a pull rouge for 35 years and director of the ESF Serre Chevalier 1400 for 28 years.
