The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Council has taken over the management of the drinking water service for the area known as the “10 Communes on the Left Bank of the Var,” which includes the communes of Aspremont, Castagniers, Colomars, the second part of Falicon, La Roquette-sur-Var, Levens, Saint-Blaise, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Saint-Martin-du-Var, and Tourrette-Levens, thereby ending the contract under public service delegation.
Created in 2014, the Régie Eau d’Azur, a public industrial and commercial establishment, has been responsible since 2015 for operating the drinking water service in 33 of the 49 communes of the Metropolis.
By incorporating the water service of these 10 communes into the Régie Eau d’Azur, the latter will manage the production and distribution of drinking water across the entirety of the Left Bank of the Var.
