The Regional Sports Meetings will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at 5:30 PM in the assembly hall of the Regional Hotel, with the participation of: National Olympic and Sports Committee, Regional Olympic and Sports Committees, Departmental Olympic and Sports Committees, Regional Sports Leagues and Committees, Official Training Centers of Professional Clubs, CREPS, Sports Medical Centers, Pôles Espoirs, CFA Futurosud, DRJSCS.
Opening speeches by Michel VAUZELLE, Joël CANAPA, and Denis MASSEGLIA, President of the CNOSF.
Mr. Joël CANAPA will present the framework for sports intervention and the five themes that will form the basis of future workshops.
Encouraging sport for all:
i) youth,
ii) women,
iii) disabled people,
iiii) disadvantaged groups
iiiii) seniors
Promoting high-level sport while respecting sports ethics:
i) Sports Excellence Paths
ii) Official Training Centers of Professional Clubs
iii) Individual aids for high-level athletes
Helping to professionalize sports structures:
i) Employment
ii) Training of sports managers
Integrating sport into a territorial planning and sustainable development logic:
i) Use of sports facilities in high schools
ii) Preservation of practice sites
Contributing to public health through sports practice:
i) Medical monitoring
ii) Combating addictive behaviors (alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction, doping…)
iii) Fighting obesity
Between each theme, a discussion will be proposed with the audience so that participants can address issues encountered or suggest areas of work that could be integrated into the reflection conducted in the framework of future workshops.
Additionally, the evening is expected to be punctuated by clips presenting testimonials related to the various themes discussed.
