In order to give youth its rightful place, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region has created the Regional Youth Parliament, a genuine democratic and innovative laboratory.
Composed of 100 members, high school students, apprentices, young people in vocational training and in health and social training, ages 15 to 29, the RYP is a gender-equal assembly, respecting the demographic balances of each territory, and representative of all young people in training.
“Allowing personal development and the discovery of others, encouraging civic engagement and developing a sense of belonging to the community, facilitating the integration of young people are the values that form the foundations of our regional policy in favor of young people. Through their participation in the RYP, youths fully engage in the learning of democracy,” states Renaud Muselier, President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region.
