villa_arson.jpg The objectives of the 1st Edition Art Videos Contest (2012)

Qualify the image of the company both internally and externally

Experience a collective artistic endeavor within the company

Support the emergence of young artists through a regional springboard

Create a collection of original art videos focused on the industries of the Alpes-Maritimes

An unprecedented project

Favored by both public policies and private initiatives, today’s art is exploring new dissemination platforms. In urban spaces, screens are multiplying: facades of public buildings, transit locations (Brussels-Midi station, Hong Kong airport), and historical monuments are projection surfaces hosting large-scale artistic events (the Kulturbrauerei by LG Optimus in Berlin).

This evolving context inspires new situations for art. Through the PrototYp project, the company becomes both the producer of a work and the subject of a creation. Radically breaking away from the advertising genre and its codes, PrototYp offers a viewpoint shift while raising awareness of contemporary art.

The “young artists” springboard

Artists residing in the PACA region and under thirty years old will apply via portfolio and be selected by a jury of recognized members in the fields of video art and business.

The “For an Ethics of Performance” colloquium, organized from November 15 to 17, 2012 by the Performance association, will provide the ideal setting for projecting this first collection of art videos.

Why Lโ€™ECLAT and the Malongo Foundation?

Both being stakeholders in artistic and economic innovation, the Malongo Foundation and Lโ€™ECLAT have come together to converge art and industry, notably through the creation of a pilot video.
