The Relay Marathon allows covering the 42.195 km of the marathon by forming a team of six runners. 386 teams will participate in this 2012 edition, a significant increase from the approximately 250 last year and the good hundred in the first edition in 2010.

The numbers speak for themselves in explaining the sporting and sociological success of this new format.
A timing chip serves as the relay baton. It will be attached to the anklet of the relay runner. In each town, a specific area will be equipped to allow the relay to be handed over seamlessly. Within these areas, runners will find refreshments as well as musical entertainment.
