Initiated by Annie Sidro, Historian of the Nice Carnival, in charge of international “Carnaval” relations, President of Carnival without Borders, the seniors from the Housing-Foyer and Retirement Homes managed by the Nice CCAS are joining the Carnival parade!
Not only will they participate in the carnival events organized in their establishments according to the following schedule…
Ø Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at 2:30 PM: Musical show by Irène Vincent: Baréty Residence – 6 ruelle Saint Roch
Ø Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at 2:30 PM: Masked ball hosted by the Senior Animation Service of the City of Nice: Saint Barthelemy Residence – 64 avenue Cyrille Besset
Ø Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 2:30 PM: “Long Live the Carnival” by the 4M association: Fornéro Ménéï Residence – 4 rue Sorgentino
Ø Monday, February 27, 2012, at 2:00 PM: Carnival at the Daycare Center for Alzheimer’s: Daycare Center les orangers – 2 bis Avenue des Orangers
Ø Friday, March 2, 2012, at 2:45 PM: Costume party with carnival rhythms: Grosso Residence – 5-7 avenue Férix
but they will also take part in the neighborhood carnival parades organized by the Nice Tourism and Congress Office:

The masks and hats worn during these events were made by the residents during workshops led by students from the Art and Scenography Workshop of the Nice University of Humanities, under the expert guidance of Annie Sidro.
Finally, on the occasion of the grand Carnival Show to be held at the Residence of Veteran Soldiers on Friday, February 24, 2012, starting at 3 PM, the dressed-up residence staff will demonstrate all the benefits of “laughter therapy” by participating in this popular festival that is the carnival!
