80% of foreign clients cite the cultural image of our country as their primary motivation for visiting. This decision-making driver has a very strong potential in the local economy: heritage tourism brings in 1.275 billion annually in the PACA region, to which must be added 19.2 million euros in site operating revenues and 4 million euros in miscellaneous income, including tourist tax revenue.
In total, it can be estimated that heritage in Provence-Alpes-Cรดte dโAzur accounts for between 48,000 and 50,000 jobs. The PACA region is the second French region, after Paris and รle-de-France, welcoming more than 10 million visitors each year, bolstered by this reputation strengthened by major historical events such as the Cannes Festival or the Avignon Festival, or big names like Picasso, Chagall, Matisse, Renoir, Bonnard, or Dufy who lived there and celebrated its art of living through their works (sources: C.R.T. PACA).

This training is aimed at Culture stakeholders (staff from public or private cultural sites) and Tourism actors (staff from local Tourism institutions, hospitality, transport, and sales of the offering, but also gastronomy) who wish to develop the hospitality, quality, and tourist attendance in Alpes-Maritimes and its neighboring territories (Var, Monaco, etc.).
Working better together, better understanding and defining objectives and communication strategies to renew cultural tourism, making the cultural offering an asset in terms of tourist marketing and an attraction method for clients, are the goals of this training.
