This is the first time that Villeneuve-Loubet is hosting the Romanian Film Evenings at the Auguste Escoffier Cultural Hub.
An event organized by the Honorary Consulate of Romania in Nice and the Prospero Society in Bucharest, in partnership with the Municipality of Villeneuve-Loubet and its mayor, whose family is of Romanian origin, Lionnel Luca, President of the France-Romania Parliamentary Friendship Group.
The goal of this week is to promote Romanian cinema, which is very active and dynamic, with numerous young directors and is regularly featured in major global competitions.

“Hi! How are you?” is a romantic comedy whose main characters are a couple who, after 20 years of marriage, no longer feel attracted to each other.
Each seeks love elsewhere, and after a few nights of chatting, each is convinced they’ve found the perfect lover online. The attraction felt for the virtual lover is marred by a sense of guilt, but neither suspects that the partner they fell in love with online is far from a stranger.
Even though he is quite libertine in his own romantic life, their 17-year-old son is more than intrigued when he discovers his parents’ romance.

A Night at Tokoriki is built around Gรฉanina’s 18th birthday party. It’s evening, and there’s a lot of excitement at Tokoriki, the village disco. Lights shine through the windows, the hall is decorated with balloons, Gรฉanina’s parents take their seats at the table, the local DJ sets up his playlist with hits, and Gรฉanina awaits her guests. Soon the disco comes alive, and the youngsters start energetically dancing. Alin is preoccupied with something… his eyes shine every time he meets Gรฉanina’s gaze, a fact that doesnโt go unnoticed by his friend. In the end, Gรฉanina is in for a big surprise that no one will forget.
