A distribution of birth kits took place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Nice University Hospital (CHU), Archet 2 Hospital. This act of solidarity was part of an operation carried out during the holiday season by the Rotary Club Nice Port Lympia, with the support of local and associative actors.

The distribution of kits to families of premature children took place on Tuesday, December 30, at the Nice University Hospital – Archet 2 Hospital. The initiative was aimed at families followed by the hospital. Ten birth kits were distributed on this occasion.

The action was part of the solidarity operation “A Christmas Tree to Help a Birth”. The Rotary Club Nice Port Lympia led this operation, in partnership with the association Ă€ Bras Cadabra. The kits were intended for families facing a premature birth. The initiative aimed to provide material and moral support in the early days of the child’s life.

The funds used to finance these kits came from a sale of solidarity Christmas trees. This sale took place in Nice during the holiday season. Le Trésor des Sapins supported this operation. The proceeds collected enabled the design and distribution of the kits.

The distribution took place in the presence of representatives from the Rotary Club Nice Port Lympia. Olivier TazĂ©, vice-president of the club, was present. Lydie Bar, a member of the club, also participated in this event. Emeline Baudoin, leader of the association Ă€ Bras Cadabra, took part in the event, alongside teams from the Nice University Hospital. “These kits are above all a strong act of solidarity addressed to families facing prematurity,” emphasized Olivier TazĂ©.

This initiative was part of the continuation of solidarity actions carried out for several years by the Nice Rotary clubs. These actions were conducted in collaboration with local associative and hospital actors. Networking has been a central axis of these commitments.

A local action carried out by a recent club

Since the very end of 2024, Nice has had a fifth Rotary club. The Rotary Club Nice Port Lympia emerged in this context. The club was officially launched in December 2024.

Since its creation, the club has carried out several actions. A session dedicated to cyberbullying was organized at Lympia College. This intervention relied on the expertise of club members, including a cybersecurity expert, a lawyer, and a psychotherapist.

The change in presidency also marked this period. Ludovic Laborde assumed the role of president. This new president expressed interest in organizing business meetings. The Rotary undertook an engagement in favor of the local economy and entrepreneurs. This axis was part of the orientations considered for upcoming actions.

The distribution of kits at the Nice University Hospital illustrated this desire for a local anchorage. The link with hospital actors reinforced the concrete impact of the action. The families involved received direct support during a time characterized by fragility and uncertainty.

Through this operation, the Rotary Club Nice Port Lympia followed a logic of proximity solidarity. The association À Bras Cadabra brought its expertise and commitment to the families. The Nice University Hospital hosted this initiative within its services.

This action reminded us of the role played by associative and civic networks in supporting vulnerable situations. Support for families of premature children took a tangible form at the heart of a healthcare facility. As a reminder, various structures in favor of early childhood exist.
