For the 19th consecutive year, the Forum Jacques Prรฉvert association will summon the arts into the streets this September to transform the city of Carros into a space of expression and creation. Last year, over the course of a long three-day weekend, 12 companies presented 25 performances of theater, circus, music, and dance, inviting the public to daydream, reflect, laugh, and move!
Far more than just a mere event punctuating Carros’ cultural life, the “Roulez Carros!” festival also opens the live shows season for the Forum Jacques Prรฉvert. The street thus dialogues with the stage, the outside with the inside, to celebrate live performances in a united momentum! By moving from the theater to the street, live performances reach out to the public, making them accessible to a larger audience.
Each year, an average of 3,000 spectators participate in the event, experiencing unforgettable moments at the heart of the festival.
Unfortunately, consecutive budget cuts are genuinely endangering the festival, which has decreased from 37 performances in 2013 to 16 in 2015! The next 2015 edition will host only 11 companies for a total of 16 performances. Year by year, the program is shrinking, jeopardizing the festival’s future, which risks extinguishing permanently if we fail to secure financial support.
What will the collection be used for?

In order to once again offer the public several days of completely free performances in the streets of Carros and in the hope of celebrating the festival’s 20th anniversary in 2016, the Forum Jacques Prรฉvert association is now calling for donations: 100% of the โฌ10,000 collected will be used to program at least 4 additional shows, allowing the festival to extend to a second day and offering once again the chance to dream for several consecutive days!
