Opening of the Russian Musical Seasons of Nice at the Anglican Church, 11 rue de la Buffa.
The Russian Musical Seasons are back to enchant us and take us on a musical journey across different eras and countries. From the South, moving ever North, it’s an opportunity to hear and explore various musical horizons, with a very talented Spanish guitarist, Sergi Vicente, opening the event, along with a promising young Russian violist, Regina Shteynman, accompanied on the organ by the renowned musicologist and organist Elena Keylina.
After a detour through Germany, with trumpeters Jรผrgen Hartmann and Evgeny Yatsuk, followed by Alexander Pfeifer, all accompanied by their Russian colleagues like Philipp Nodel, a remarkable oboist representing the Lorรฉe house in Russia, Andrey Ikov, principal trumpet of the Bolshoi and an international soloist for Yamaha, and soprano Alisa Gitsba, a soloist at Moscow’s “Helikon-opera” theater, this detour will allow us to explore the different respective musical influencesโwhether from the North, South, East, or Westโbefore finally reaching Great Russia for the grand finale, which is entirely “Russian,” featuring the extraordinary singer Anatoly Safiulin, bass, accompanied by Regina Shteynman and Elena Keylina in a completely new and surprising world premiere.
