The Saint-Paul de Vence Festival unveils its program

Latest News

From July 20 to 31, the village of Saint-Paul de Vence will resonate with the sounds of classical music and jazz for the 9th edition of its Summer Festival. The official program was unveiled at the prestigious Fondation Maeght.

The summer season on the French Riviera is often a time for major musical gatherings, and the town of Saint-Paul is no exception. Created in 2011 by the Modigliani Quartet, this festival dedicated to classical music and jazz has attracted an increasing number of spectators over the years. Buoyed by its success, it has consequently drawn in great musicians, such as Renaud Capuรงon or Richard Galliano. For the 9th edition, Julien Kieffer, the festival director, wanted to further modernize the concept and blend generations. โ€œWe host many renowned musicians, but this year we wanted to find a balance between young talent and established artists with a history,โ€ he explains.

This year, the celebrations will take place in three different venues. Six of the eight scheduled concerts will be held at the Place de la Courtine, below the ramparts. One concert will be performed at the Fondation Maeght and another within the precincts of the village’s collegiate church. โ€œIt’s an incredible setting to be able to host a festival like this in Saint-Paul de Vence. People come to listen to music, but also to discover new places,โ€ notes Julien Kieffer.
