From July 3 to 5, the Maison Francine Gag invites you to come and share its “Salade Niçoise”. This is a festival celebrating Niçoise culture. Events will take place over three days, focusing on the house and the activities offered throughout the year. Here’s a summary of the program.

Maison Francine Gag, located at 20 Avenue Frédéric Mistral, invites you to discover the richness of Niçoise culture during its Salade Niçoise festival, from July 3 to 5. This three-day event offers conferences, workshops, and shows, providing a complete immersion into the traditions and identity of Nice. On Wednesday, July 3, from 6 PM to 10 PM, Jean-Luc Gagliolo will host a conference on the particularism of Nice: “Nice, a Singular Land, a Unique Destiny“. It’s an opportunity to better understand how your identity was shaped. This conference will take place at 6:30 PM. At 8:30 PM, a refreshment stand will be available, selling the famous pan bagnat, priced at 5 euros, by reservation.

On Thursday, July 4, from 6 PM to 8 PM, a musical evening awaits you. Traditional songs will be performed by the Tuesday singing workshop. There will also be language explanations from the students of the Thursday Niçois course. The goal? Have fun with the language and discover what lies behind the songs and Niçoise expressions. As on Wednesday, a refreshment stand will be available.

On Friday, July 5, there are two time slots available. From 10 AM to 12 PM and from 8:30 PM to 10 PM. The day will start with a friendly activity offered by the sewing workshop. It involves making a small needle pouch in the colors of Nice. The workshop will be followed by an aperitif, priced at 5 euros and by registration.

At 8:30 PM and by reservation only, the two members of the Nissart Per Tougiou association, Eve Fumaroli and Sylvain Casagrande, offer you a theater play in Niçoise dialect, “Lou Toump“. It’s a work on a forgotten text by Guihèn Boréa, from the “Théâtre de Barba Martin” troupe founded by Gustave Adolphe Mossa.
