The Scènes d’Automne Festival took place from October 2 to 19, 2024. During this period, 14 shows were presented on various stages in Nice and its surroundings. The audience could also enjoy around twenty festive events. Ezéquiel Garcia-Romeu, puppeteer and set designer, was the patron of this edition.
The closing ceremony, on October 22, revealed the winners of this edition. The Grand Jury Prize was awarded to Splendeurs et Misères, an adaptation by Paul Platel based on Honoré de Balzac, presented by Les Arts d’Azur (Le Broc) and produced by Le Théâtre des Évadés.
The Special Jury Prize went to Clôture de l’Amour by Pascal Rambert. This show was presented by Théâtre de L’Eau Vive (Nice) and produced by Théâtre Action.
The Creation Prize was awarded to Merlin le Désenchanteur, written by Guillaume Ellena, Pierre Petitfrère, and Frédéric Rey. The play was directed by Théâtre de La Semeuse (Nice).
In terms of acting, the Best Actress Award was given to Marianne Giropoulos for her role in Splendeurs et Misères.
The Best Actor Award was awarded to Romain Massenhove for his performance in Le Minotaure, a production of Théâtre Georges-Brassens (Saint-Laurent-du-Var).
A special mention was given to Valérie Fruchout for her show Elisa & Co, presented by Théâtre Nice Saleya.
The award-winning shows will be scheduled in the 2025-2026 season of Théâtre Francis-Gag. They will also receive support for distribution thanks to a partnership with the Metropolitan Tourism Office.
