Emmanuel Macron was officially (re)inaugurated as the new president of the French Republic today at noon at the Elysรฉe Palace.
In his speech, the head of state talked about the dangers of climate change, promising to “act tirelessly” to defend “a more independent nation.”
To achieve this, President Macron will need a majority that supports and reinforces his actions. Success in the legislative elections is essential for this.
The new coalition ENSEMBLE has announced its first group of candidates: in the three constituencies covering the Nice area, the decisions have been made and, as expected, Christian Estrosi has secured the lionโs share: three of his followers, Graig Monetti (1st), Philippe Pradal (3rd), and Marine Brenier (5th) have been nominated. The first two are running for the first time, the latter is the only incumbent and recently left LR after supporting Valรฉrie Pรฉcresse in the first round of the presidential election.
Outgoing LRM deputy Cรฉdric Roussel is affected by this decision. Will he run as an independent or accept this decision, which is unfavorable to him?
Two other incumbent deputies have been reappointed: Louis Dovembral (2nd constituency) and Madame Valette-Ardissone (4th).
