The second winner of the 2015 National Competition for the Best French Traditional Baguette is from Nice.

During the National Finals of the Competition, which took place from May 11 to May 13, 2015, on the Parvis of Notre Dame Church in Paris during the Bread Festival, he competed with 18 candidates, representing 19 regions of France.

Among the 6 finalists, Sรฉbastien Poidevin finished second, just a few points shy of the top spot on the podium. He had already won the departmental selection in which 36 artisan bakers from the Alpes-Maritimes participated.

With the 2nd prize in this departmental competition (Gilles Safre, from the Boulangerie La Lanterne in Nice), he participated in the regional selection, which took place on April 30 and May 1, 2015, at the Avignon Fair and won the 1st Prize in the Regional PACA-Corsica selection.

The โ€œBaguette de Tradition Franรงaiseโ€ is an emblematic product protected by the โ€œPain de Tradition Franรงaiseโ€ Decree. This designation is defined by regulation (decree no. 93-1074 of September 13, 1993).
