A little less than two weeks ago, athletes from the Côte d’Azur shone at the French Long Throws and Cadet-Junior Indoor Championships. In total, one title and three silver medals were won by the Nice-based athletes.
First of all, in Millau (Aveyron), Lenny Brisseault beat his personal record in the javelin throw (66.70m) and was thus crowned French champion in the cadet category. Dean-Nick Allen achieved a throw of 51.95m in discus, earning him the silver medal.
A change of scenery. In Val-de-Reuil (Eure), Sacha Alessandrini collected two silver medals: the first in the 60-meter hurdles (8″43, personal record) and the second in the 60 meters (7″52).
These two performances allowed the double French vice-champion to be selected for the international indoor match for under-20s, organized in her hometown of Nantes, on March 3rd. In the aggregate of the two 60-meter finals, Sacha Alessandrini achieved the 6th best time (7″64 and 7″67, totaling 15″31).
