Four residents of the gerontology center have repeatedly enjoyed the pleasures of the beach and accompanied swimming despite their disabilities. This wonderful initiative honors the Rotary Club of Nice County, and more particularly one of its members, Théo Mansi, a well-known restaurateur.
It is in the adapted comfort of “tiralos,” amphibious deckchair-wheelchairs provided by the Club to the city, that these seniors were safely able to regain access to the sea.
To enable them to experience summer sensations in the best conditions, three lifeguards, a nurse, and a long-stay service animator from the Cimiez Hospital of the CHU in Nice supervised these outings.
The residents are full of praise for this generous experience, which will be repeated throughout the summer.
