The Short Film Festival will be held from March 20 to 26, 2024. It’s an opportunity to discover works in a short format accessible for free.

Each year, the Short Film Festival curates a selection and screening of short films throughout France. This selection is designed to showcase the excellence of short films, reach a broad range of ages and audiences, and highlight the promising talents of tomorrow. 

For a week, cinephiles or novices, young audiences, families, and enthusiasts can explore the magic of short films, everywhere in France and internationally, during this large festival which is free and open to all.

The program in Nice

You will have the opportunity to discover and participate in this festival in various locations in Nice. Specifically at the Nice Cinémathèque, at Entre-pont, at Variété Cinema, Belmondo, and Pathé Masséna

At the Cinémathèque, you can discover a selection of films including six short films featuring actors such as Catherine Deneuve, Pierre Deladonchamps, Ana Girardot, Mathieu Kassovitz, and Swann Arlaud. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to watch six great classics, inviting you to explore diverse universes, from Superman to Frankenstein’s creature, to the Moon and even a giant lobster, a fun experience suitable for the youngest.

Entre-pont also invites you to attend on Wednesday, March 20 at 2 PM the screening of “Freedom at All Costs,” a collection of six short films with a total duration of one hour, offering a rich and varied cinematic experience.

The Varité Cinema will screen “Talents at All Costs” on March 22 at 7 PM, “Wallace & Gromit” on March 23 at 10:45 AM. Likewise, Masséna Cinema and Belmondo will showcase several short films throughout this week.
