“The Singer from Mexico” in Nice, far from home

Latest News

Famous for “La Belle de Cadix” and the unforgettable songs hummed by Luis Mariano, Francis LOPEZ makes our hearts race and our feet tap with a vibrant “Chanteur de Mexico”!

During the holiday season in Saint Jean de Luz, a young Basque named Vincent ETCHEBAR, a singer in the local choir, a Fandango dancer, and the darling of the local girls, meets an operetta diva, Eva MARCHAL, who doesn’t mind beginning a holiday romance with him.

As the season ends, Vincent, who now dreams only of becoming a theater star himself, decides to try his luck in Paris, accompanied by Bilou, his inseparable childhood friend. However, conquering the capital is not easy. No impresario is willing to take the time to listen to Vincent. Eva herself has already forgotten her Saint Jean de Luz lover. Having become house painters to earn a living, Vincent and Bilou meet CRI-CRI, a little girl from the streets; thanks to her, Vincent triumphs in an amateur contest at the Moulin de la Galette and secures an engagement to Mexico. Following this chain of events and becoming Eva Marchal’s partner, Vincent will find himself embroiled in an extraordinary adventure along with Cri-Cri and Bilou.
