The Sports Caravan celebrates its 5th year. It is organized by the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee of Alpes-Maritimes, in partnership with the General Council 06 and the Departmental Directorate of Youth and Sports. It takes place in July and August 2006.
Several sports, supervised by qualified educators, are offered FREE to children aged 4 to 16, such as:
– Trampoline
– Karate
– Table Tennis
– Volleyball
– Basketball
– Boxing
– Pétanque
– American Football
– Gymnastics
– Golf
This concept allows the introduction of various sports to young people who do not always have the opportunity to practice them. Besides the goal of playfully initiating these activities, it may also help increase the number of young licensed club members. Moreover, the presence of established athletes will help develop enthusiasm for these disciplines.
Promoting the initiation to sports in our department is the priority of the C.D.O.S. That’s why several sites have been chosen, from the seaside to the mid-country and the high country.
The participating cities are: Breil sur Roya, Le Moulinet, Auron, Villefranche sur Mer, St Laurent du Var, Valberg, Contes, Mouans Sartoux, and Berre les Alpes.
PROGRAMS OF THE DAYS:
– Saturday:
– Activities start at 2:30 PM
– Registration with organizers
– Sports demonstration at 5:30 PM
– End of activities at 6:30 PM
– Sunday:
– Activities start at 10:00 AM
– Registration with organizers
– Sports demonstration at 4:00 PM
– End of activities and award ceremony at 5:00 PM
Each participant receives the Sports Caravan 2006 T-shirt as well as various rewards offered by our partners.
