To mark its 80th anniversary, the Association of Paralyzed People of France (APF) is organizing the 11th edition of the “Fête du Sourire” across France this year.
The departmental delegation of the Alpes-Maritimes of the APF and the association Imago, with the support of the city of Nice (as well as the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, Lignes d’Azur, and Veolia Transport), are hosting a free concert on June 1st from 6 PM to 10 PM, at Place Pierre Gautier, in Nice.
The purpose of this event is to break the isolation of people with disabilities, to change society’s perception of people with disabilities, and to inform the general public.
During the evening, a wheelchair course will be set up to give able-bodied people the chance to experience the difficulties faced daily by people with reduced mobility. Children’s booths will also be present: drawing, painting, and circus arts.
The association will also present the various volunteer missions it offers to the general public.
Event schedule:
6:00 PM: A Jam
7:30 PM: Barbason
8:30 PM: Kabbalah
