Patrick Allemand, the first secretary of the PS azurรฉen, presented the team that will carry the socialist colors in the upcoming cantonal elections (March 20-27).
“The electoral law is iniquitous. It was changed to prevent the presence of the FN in the second round and, in doing so, favor the UMP. But it has allowed us to unite with other left-wing parties and movements to present the best-placed candidates for election. In this respect, the PS has demonstrated its ability to sacrifice its own interests to consider those of the coalition. Our goal is to retain our outgoing elected representatives and reclaim some seats that had shifted to the right during the last consultation.”
