In response to the rising fuel prices, the South region offers its residents a solution to reduce their expenses.
The region is implementing a Bioethanol Transition Voucher for the residents, businesses, and associations of the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur region.
What is it?
Concretely, it is a €250 voucher offered by the region intended for the supply and installation by a qualified professional of a kit that allows a gasoline vehicle to be converted into a bioethanol vehicle.
For whom?
Individuals residing in the PACA regional territory, who own a gasoline car for personal or professional use. The aid is granted for one vehicle per person.
Private law entities (businesses, self-employed, associations, etc.) owning a company or service car whose headquarters or associated vehicle base is located in the PACA territory. Legal entities can receive aid of up to €2,500, which allows for the conversion of up to ten vehicles.
Note that this aid is available until the conversion of 10,000 vehicles.
For what purpose?
This solution has a dual benefit. On one hand, it allows for a 35 to 45% savings on a full tank of gasoline. On the other hand, the conversion of a gasoline-powered vehicle into a dual-fuel gasoline – bioethanol E85 vehicle (85% bioethanol in the fuel, compared to 5 to 10% for gasoline SP98-E5 and SP95-E10) helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This regional aid “actively contributes to better living in our region,” stated Renaud Muselier, president of the PACA region.
