The Special Jury Prize for OGC Nice

OGC Nice was awarded the “Special Jury Prize” for its operation “En Route for Los Angeles 2015” organized in collaboration with Special Olympics France.

The LFP, in partnership with the club presidents’ union (UCPF) and the Française des jeux, will reward OGC Nice for this initiative in support of people with disabilities.

The club will receive the “Special Jury Prize” along with a check for €10,000 this Saturday, March 15, before the kickoff of the Nice-Bastia match.


ogcniceolympics-2.jpg On the occasion of this unique partnership in France, OGC Nice committed to identifying, training, and organizing the football team that will represent France at the next Special World Games, which will be held in Los Angeles in the summer of 2015 under the patronage of Barack Obama.

These initiatives include organizing selection sessions to create a group of players with a uniform level, followed by regular training sessions to best prepare them for this major event.

Three OGC Nice coaches have volunteered to prepare the sessions and mentor the young participants throughout the project, including accompanying the team to the final competition in August 2015.
