The Ambassadors of Sport of the Alpes-Maritimes, an initiative launched in 2013, aims to reward and encourage young talents from the department who are destined for a very bright sporting future.
After the Alain BERNARD (2014) and Victoria RAVVA (2015) promotions, it is the famous Nice navigator Jean-Pierre DICK who is the patron of this third edition.
For this third edition, 114 young athletes, meeting the eligibility conditions set by the Department*, are today elevated to the rank of Ambassadors of Sport of the Alpes-Maritimes (AS 06) thanks to their performances achieved during the year 2015 and their title of French Champion obtained individually or in teams.
A slightly more feminine promotion as it includes 60 girls and 54 boys aged 11 to 16 who practice 18 different disciplines in 20 sports federations.
These 114 young athletes have won a total of 147 French Champion titles under the banner of 41 clubs, 2 middle schools as part of the UNSS, and 2 Côte d’Azur league selections (volleyball and archery).
This sports partnership, which grants each AS 06 a reward of 200 €, is also centered around a Charter of Commitment – “I am, I respect, I defend, I exchange, and I commit.”
