On board were renowned athletes such as Emilie Fer, Olympic Champion in Canoe-Kayak in 2012 in London, Sylvain Curinier, French kayaker and Olympic silver medalist in kayak slalom in 1992 in Barcelona, a coach since 1997, accumulating 3 Olympic titles and 6 individual World Champion titles with the athletes he has trained, and Aurรฉlie Trailin, semi-finalist at the French Boxing Championship (-57 kg). These athletes dazzled the eyes of the 400 children present for this occasion.

The Sports Caravan is aimed at children from 4 to 14 years old and offers them a dozen activities: athletics, badminton, baseball-softball, Lyonnaise boules, pรฉtanque, field hockey, goal-shooting football, volleyball, shooting, fencing, rugby, gymnastics, karate, and table tennis. The advantage of this mobile sports setup is twofold as it enables reaching out to young people to promote all these sports by traveling along the Cรดte d’Azur coast as well as the upper and middle regions, and also providing the young with the best advice thanks to the quality educators present.

Charles Ange Ginรฉsy, the president of the Departmental Council, praised this initiative: โ€œThis Sports Caravan is a very beautiful event, both sporting and supportive, organized by the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee of the Alpes-Maritimes.
I would like to thank its president, Philippe Manassero, and all the volunteers present at each stage who make these wonderful sporting stops possible. See you next year!โ€
