Aeromodelling, gymnastics, athletics, karate, wrestling, badminton, first aid, basketball, table tennis, boxing, trampoline, free flight, American football, volleyball, and golf. All these sports were present in Auron, on August 2nd and 3rd, as part of the Sports Caravan which brought together hundreds of children and young teenagers at the central square of the resort.
Sixty volunteers gathered around the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee of the Alpes-Maritimes (CDOS) were present to introduce several sports for free to young people who do not always have the opportunity to practice them, encouraging them to join a club.
The program included fun introductions, of course, but also demonstrations by athletes with departmental, regional, and even national titles. A sports weekend that concluded with the traditional medal ceremony for the most talented young participants.
