The sports community of the Azure region has elected the new bodies: solidarity and commitment will be the common thread throughout the term.

Despite the context, the CDOS 06 did not abandon the democratic rule of electing its bodies, taking advantage of technology that allows for remote meetings. As a result, the representatives of the departmental committees of the sports federations were able to vote for the new bodies for the next four years.


The outgoing President, Philippe Manassero, a former international basketball referee, was the sole candidate and has been re-elected for a third term. He will continue to be assisted, as he currently is, by the General Secretary Manuel Debrueil and by Madame Dominique Perronnet, the treasurer.

However, there was a renewal regarding the executive board and the board of directors, with new leaders who have risen in ranks to drive a sports policy in the region that meets the times and the expectations of the clubs. In particular, it is noteworthy that, in the name of gender equality, the executive board is now made up of the same number of male and female elected members.

The 57 voters (accounting for 283 votes) unanimously supported the only list presented. The session also served to formalize the approval of the President’s moral report, the General Secretary’s activity report, the financial report for 2020 (€320,000 in revenue, €23,000 in profit), and the 2021 budget (€336,500 in revenue).

Many notable figures spoke: Senator Alexandra Borchio-Fontimp, the Vice-President of the CNOSF and President of the French Volleyball Federation from Nice, Eric Tanguy, the IA Director of DESAN Le Floc’h, the VP of the Departmental Council in charge of sports Vanessa Siegel, and the President of CROS Sud-PACA Hervé Liberman.
