All 72 federations that are members of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee, and the 75 regional, territorial, and departmental Olympic and sports committees, adopted the following motion:
“All the participants regret the major difficulties faced by the clubs due to the reduction of subsidized jobs and the territorial share of the CNDS. They ask the CNOSF to intervene vigorously to restore territorial funding for the benefit of sports associations.”
The CNOSF is mandated to continue the work initiated on sports governance to equip French sports with a model of shared governance and distributed responsibilities. In this context, the hypothesis of a national agency composed of representatives of the State, local authorities, and the sports movement in equal parts, along with representatives of the economic world, received almost unanimous support from the participants.
The sports movement commits to creating structuring jobs at the level of clubs and decentralized bodies provided that:
– these creations occur within the framework of the associative project;
– federal diplomas, under certain conditions, grant the right to teach for remuneration;
– employer structures are encouraged through incentive measures.
The club at the heart of the French sports project:
– no club, no champions;
– no club, no public service of sports, no education, no social cohesion through sports;
– a renovated club to better address the challenges of sports performance and development of practices;
– a club recognized for the actions of general interest it conducts within its associative project;
– a club open to new enthusiasts, particularly in health and well-being sports, aware of their expectations, and contributing to the area’s animation.
