The Sud Infos and IDECOM groups organized the 1st edition of the Women in Economy Awards at the Nice Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday. The event took place in the CCI Atrium, under the High Patronage of Anny Courtade, Director of LECASUD and Patron of the event, in partnership with EDF / ESSENTI’ELLES network.

Yesterday, women were honored at the Nice Côte d’Azur CCI! As part of its CSR initiative awarded last April 3 with the CSR Prize for the Alpes Maritimes, the Nice Côte d’Azur CCI wanted to highlight the contribution of women to the economy of the Alpes-Maritimes as well as their commitment within their respective organizations. These awards represent the involvement and success of women in their region’s economy and reward their work and perseverance in a predominantly male world. The ceremony was presided over by Anny Courtade, Director of Lecasud, in the presence of Dr. Christine Janin, President of the Association “à Chacun son Everest.” The jury, comprised of members from women’s associations and professional networks – Dirigeants Commerciaux de France, European Professional Women’s Network, Essentielles, National Association of HR Directors, Club Business 06 – Alpes-Maritimes, the IRCE, the CJD, Femmes 3000 and the Nice CCI –, awarded 7 prizes to exceptional women.
The Businesswoman 2012 Award was given to Marie-Pierre Billot, President SAS P3 Automobile. Her company’s success with prestigious clients like Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, and Aston Martin proved that a woman can fully fulfill her role as a leader in a field usually reserved for men. The Commercial Performance Award went to Véronique Marce, Director of the Social Action Shopping Center in Vence. She successfully implemented a real marketing strategy within this public establishment, requiring a deep repositioning in response to the market’s opening to home aid competition. Valérie Roubaud, President of Terre d’Oc, received the Responsible Business Award. Respect and sharing are the watchwords for Valérie Roubaud and her team members. The Tourism Creativity Award was given to Corinne Paolini, Manager and Artistic Director of Encre d’Or Edition. It was in 2007 that she created a writing and communication office, placing the promotion of her PACA region at the heart of her activity, a key to her success today.
The Young Talent Woman Award was given to Caroline Durand, Manager of One World, for creating her business in 2009 under the self-entrepreneur status. A year later, her company achieved SARL status thanks to the great success it encountered. The Lagardère Metropoles Group Award – The Communicative Woman Award was awarded to Norah Luttway, Marketing and Communications Director of “Carnet de Vol.” Since her arrival at Carnet de Vol, Norah Luttway has revised, energized, and evolved the brand’s image to make it indispensable. Finally, the jury awarded a special prize to Dominique Mazella, Director of the association Parcours de Femmes, who for 16 years has provided support and listening to women in familial and personal difficulties, helping them find balance and better access employment.
