On the interpretation of Schumann’s work
Originally from Nice, Philippe Bianconi has a prestigious career in the United States and Europe, where he is consistently greeted with enthusiastic acclaim by both the press and the public in concert and recital. His repertoire is wide and varied (from Bach to Bartok), with two main focuses: French music (Debussy, Ravel), for which he is a universally recognized interpreter, and the Romantic repertoire (notably Schumann, Liszt, Brahms), for which he has a marked preference. A great lover of opera, he is also passionate about literature and theater, and is particularly familiar with the Germanic world.
