This Friday, Eric Ciotti, Member of Parliament and Departmental Councilor of the Alpes-Maritimes, alongside Charles Ange Ginésy, President of the Department, handed over collected donations to benefit the League Against Cancer during the Spring of Seniors event.
As part of the Spring of Seniors, the Alpes-Maritimes Department signed an agreement with the League Against Cancer, which is celebrating its centenary this year, to ensure that volunteers from the Alpes-Maritimes Committee would be present at the exit of each concert to collect donations for cancer research, a disease that records 7,500 new cases each year in the department.
“The Alpes-Maritimes Department is more committed than ever in the fight against cancer,” declared Éric Ciotti alongside Charles Ange Ginésy.
This year, from April 7th to June 3rd, in the municipalities of Antibes, Grasse, Mandelieu-La Napoule, Menton, and Nice, the Departmental Council offered a new festive event for seniors over 55 years old enrolled in the “Seniors in Action” program. A total of 10,170 places were offered for 13 prestigious, free concerts.
