It is in a village of sciences at the heart of Vieux Nice, Place Garibaldi, on Friday, May 31 & Saturday, June 1 that the Spring of Researchers invites you to come and share the extraordinary dynamism of local academic research on topics related to territorial concerns.


visuel_pdc_light_200x300.jpgThis original scientific festival, completely FREE, aims to introduce the general public to the vitality of Research in the PACA region. It is an opportunity to meet researchers and discuss science. Workshops, conferences, activities, and tours are accessible to all audiences.

Jointly organized by the Metropolis Nice Cรดte d’Azur, the city of Nice, and PERSAN – Education and Research Hub Sophia Antipolis Nice – it is at the heart of Vieux Nice, on Friday, May 31 & Saturday, June 1, at Place Garibaldi, in Nice, that the Spring of Researchers invites you to discover the extraordinary dynamism of local academic research on topics both of territorial concern and at the cutting edge of research and technology.
Everyone can get to know these researchers who are the pride of our department, and encounter them daily without you even realizing it.

More than twenty workshops illustrating a wide variety of scientific themes, and grouped by thematic areas – Energy, Biodiversity & Sea, and Health – are offered to the public, complemented by two interactive workshops and visits to the archaeological crypt.

VISIT

On the occasion of the Spring of Researchers, you will have the possibility to visit for free the Archaeological Crypt made under Place Garibaldi following the Tramway excavations (schedules and reservation required on the website)

โ€ข On Friday, May 31 at 6 PM, conference “Cancer and Aging, where do we stand in terms of knowledge?” presented by Prof. Eric GILSON (IRCAN) and Prof. Olivier GUERIN (UCOG PACA-Est) – Reservation recommended
โ€ข On Saturday, June 1 at 11:30 AM, an activity on methods and practices to preserve the Mediterranean biodiversity presented by the Director of the Oceanological Observatory of Villefranche-sur-Mer
