The Stade Niçois presents the final day of “Rugby Coeur de Cité”

Latest News

This Saturday, the Riviera club is organizing the final day of the project launched a year and a half ago.

Since December 2020, Stade Niçois has been organizing rugby discovery sessions across all priority neighborhoods of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Area.

In partnership with Prevention Associations (ADSEA, ALC, La Semeuse, Montjoye), 21 sessions across 10 neighborhoods have been conducted, and more than 1,000 children and teenagers (aged 8 to 15) have been introduced to playing rugby.

At the home of Stade Niçois, 100 to 150 young people are expected this Saturday, June 18th, for the closing day of this operation. They will participate in a touch rugby tournament (without collision or tackles) and engage in activities aligned with the spirit and values promoted by this sport. In this final initiation, the teenagers will be accompanied by former Stade Niçois player, the best Pro D2 player with Brive in 2013, and Top 14 French Champion with Castres in 2018, Julien Caminati.
