The highly anticipated Strawberry Festival in Carros took place this Saturday in a completely different format.
The Louis Frescolini square, in Les Plans de Carros, hosted a strawberry and local produce market where the public indulged in gourmet delights, with hundreds enjoying the sunshine.
About thirty exhibitors were present: fruits & vegetables, honey, truffles, chestnut cream, cheeses, olive products (olive oil, tapenade), herbalism & teas, brewers… And of course, strawberries from the Carros region.
For this 2021 edition, children are also included in the project. To delight them and pass on the legacy of Carros strawberries, a young strawberry plant will be given to all the schoolchildren in the municipality starting Monday, May 3. They will then be able to plant it… and enjoy their own home-grown production!
