The Student House, managed by the city of Nice, celebrated its first anniversary yesterday with a festive event dedicated to students and organized by students!
During this anniversary evening, young student talents had the opportunity to take the stage: dancers (Eva, Cindy, Yahya, and Margot), filmmakers with short films from KINO Nice, actresses (Emma and Kelly), and singers (Alex Tales, Laure-Lyne, Quentin, Nardjes, Emma Alvarez, Emma Audineau, and Eva Batty).
A film about the life of the Student House was also presented. The artist FABEN performed a live graffiti art piece, and the talented Quid concluded the evening by offering a DJ Set to close the event.
The Student House opened its doors in September 2017. This one-stop shop for information and services, culture, and leisure for the student public has welcomed over 11,000 young people in a year. They have been supported in their administrative processes, information queries, project setups, and have participated in events organized for them by the city, the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, or associations (over 70 theater shows, dance performances, operas, concerts, conferences, congresses, university parties, etc.).
The future, fulfillment, and involvement of young people in city life are at the heart of Nice city’s policies. For about ten years, everything has been done to improve their living environment, facilitate their mobility, enhance their purchasing power, and support them in their studies.
