This Tuesday, a statement from OGC Nice announced that subscribed supporters will once again be allowed to come and support their team at the Allianz Rivieira. A decision that will not exclude compliance with the measures in place.
“Subscribers will return to the stadium”. A phrase that the Gym’s supporters feared they might not hear. Last weekend, the club launched a survey to its most loyal fans. A survey that invited them to answer a single question:
“As long as restrictions remain, do you prefer behind closed doors or the possibility of attending matches on a first-come, first-served basis among subscribers for available seats, with a rotation principle from one match to another to promote everyone’s gradual return to the stadium.”
A return home for the supporters
With an 85% vote in favor of the second option, the Nice supporters clearly affirm their desire to return to their good old stadium which they have been deprived of since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
OGC Nice will therefore comply with this desire and will implement it from the match against Paris Saint-Germain, on September 20, under certain conditions.
A distribution among supporters
The Gym has chosen to favor subscribers who have already renewed their subscription for this season, by granting them a 72-hour priority to obtain their seat for Nice – PSG. This advantage will begin this Friday, September 11 at 10 a.m. on the official booking site.
It should not be forgotten that the Alpes-Maritimes department is still in the red zone and that no exemption is allowed during public events and sports gatherings.
Consequently, the match between the Aiglons and the vice-champions of Europe can be played with no more than 5,000 people, including 3,600 spectators. A distribution will also be made among the different subscribers. For example, for public members, 80% of the 3,600 seats will be allocated to them since they represent 80% of OGC Nice’s subscribers.
