For the 17th edition of the Summer Evenings, the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes has orchestrated an exceptional program featuring widely acclaimed artists from previous editions and new acts to continuously surprise an ever-growing audience.

The last performances of theater, contemporary, classical, or traditional music will continue to enliven the month of September.

Série Illimitée Company, on September 1 in Cipières. “Let’s Have a Dream,” a boulevard comedy by Sacha Guitry.

Soul Man Family, on August 30 in Gattières, and August 31 in Puget-Théniers. A show for all audiences featuring the most famous standards of rock and 70s rhythm’n’blues.

Chamber Orchestra of the Philharmonic of Nice, on September 7 in Carros, and September 28 in Peymeinade. Created during the summer of 1984, this ensemble, whose size and composition vary according to the programs, tours the middle and upper Niçois lands. The members of this ensemble come from the ranks of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nice.

Provençal Ensemble Lei Troubaïre, on September 8 in Roquebillière. The Provençal trio Lei Troubaïre was formed in 2005, from the meeting of tambourine players Jacques Coquelin, Olivier Saint Picq, and harpsichordist Dimitri Goldobine. Recently, Florent Rami, a young countertenor from Cannes, has joined this ensemble, adding a richly vocal repertoire complementing the Provençal, ancient,
and European music from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical periods that the trio performed.

Baroque Ensemble of Nice, on September 15 in Tourrettes-sur-Loup. The Baroque Ensemble of Nice, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2012, is an orchestra composed of a dozen musicians all playing
on ancient instruments. Since its inception, it has quickly established itself as one of the leading French ensembles specializing in Baroque music under the direction of Gilbert Bezzina.

Departmental Music Conservatory, on August 31 in La Brigue, September 23 in Sospel, and September 28 in Breil-sur-Roya. A true decentralized conservatory, it enables qualified teachers to provide their education to children and adults who are too far from the coastal schools and conservatories.
