As for the past four seasons, OGC Nice has supported Inter-Secours Nice, an operation that is part of the club’s “Solidarity Gym” program.
On the occasion of its annual General Assembly, the Alpes-Maritimes Food Bank was visited by Jean-Pierre Rivère, accompanied by Dr. Joelle Martinaux, Deputy Mayor of Nice, Delegate for Solidarity, Social Affairs, and Disabilities, this Wednesday afternoon.
It was an opportunity for the president of OGC Nice to present a check for 7,978 euros collected during the Nice – Evian match last April 4.
“I am often asked what touches me the most in my role as the president of a football club,” recounted Jean-Pierre Rivère before the assembly. “Well, it is moments like today, where we realize that we have an indispensable role in the lives of many people.”
The sum will be transformed into foodstuffs by the Alpes-Maritimes Food Bank and then distributed to around forty associations that aid the vulnerable public in Nice, registered in the Inter-Secours Nice program.
“A gesture that once again demonstrates the generosity and involvement of the Gym in everyday life,” emphasizes François Muller, Vice-President of the Food Bank.
